Selling on the Marketplace: How Resales Work
September 14, 2026 ยท 5 min read
Changed your mind about a plot? The marketplace lets owners list buildings for resale to other citizens. Here's exactly how it works โ mechanics first, no hype.
The mechanics
- List any plot you own at whatever price you choose.
- When it sells, the plot transfers to the buyer immediately and automatically.
- PlotTwist takes a single transparent 10% platform fee on the sale. That's the whole fee schedule โ no listing fees, no hidden cuts.
- You can delist anytime before it sells, free.
What actually sells
Buyers shop the way visitors do: they want a building with character. Named buildings with custom looks, real visitor history, and prime locations move fastest. A default, unnamed plot in a quiet district is a harder sell at any price โ which is also a decent argument for making your building interesting whether or not you ever sell it.
Pricing honestly
Price is entirely yours to set, but the market is small and transparent โ everyone can see what things list for. Overpricing a plot just means it sits. If you want it gone, price it like you want it gone.
The part we won't say
We won't tell you plots are a good investment, because that's not what this is. Resell because you want a different plot, because your tastes changed, or because someone offered you a price you like โ not because anyone promised you returns. This is entertainment and identity with a marketplace attached, in that order.
